I’m so excited that mesh bags have made a dazzling return! I remember my first handbag was a glittering gold mesh bag. This season I’ve found two lovelies on the market.

OK. Hands up I may be a bit biased when it comes to Perth designer Belle Bijoux and her bags as Belle is a good friend. I love her and her bags (shhh but rumour has it that Kate Ceberano and Jessica Simpson are fans too). ‘Etta’ is Belle Bijoux’s most-coveted design and was the first to feature her trademark, hand-laced leather detailing. The Etta takes around 3 days to make and the best thing is it comes in so many colour combos.

I LOVE cream bags, always have, always will. Yes, I do have a couple stashed away but nothing quite as lovely as this bag by Estilo Emporio.

Hobos are normally generous in size and Hanako is true to this. It can easily house the many ‘essential items’ us girls need to lug around. This bold number is the classic Hobo-style, which I believe Sienna Miller is responsible for resurrecting as it fits perfectly with her hippy-chic look.

We don’t celebrate the 4th of July but I couldn’t resist letting you know about these treasures. A friend of mine actually introduced me to Dee, the genius behind Dee Dud’s. Dee’s bags are all made by her at home, so these bags don’t have a factory experience making them all unique.

Okay enough about me, it’s time to get down to bag business... I’m a fan of Pink Corporation bags, and yes I own a few. Not only are they hard wearing, their styles are always fresh with past and present influences. When I popped into the Pink Corp show room for a visit this week I was lucky enough to get a sneak-peek at the new range, which I love BTW. This one bag really caught my eye – Ilana.
